Waiting to hear back from Ron Johnson about my request that he introduce legislation to make illegal the sale for profit of a firearm used to commit murder, illegal, if not a felony. Asked the same of sen Baldwin. Expect ronjon to point out to me Zimmerman didn’t technically commit a murder with the firearm, completely missing/sidestepping the point, as usual. Expect something more constructive from sen Baldwin (again, as is usually the case). I have not been this enraged since learning from my son that Marines deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan were issued ammunition magazines for their weapons which were known to jam more often than not, and that functional pmags were readily available ( I sent a dozen gross to deployed Marines between 2010-2012). I’m not even going to touch on the report that the garden slug that is Zimmerman says he will donate proceeds of the auction to anti- BLM and anti- Hillary groups ( like Drumpf donated the money from his ” fundraiser” to veterans charities?). Save that one for another day, say, when Trump announces he’s made Zimmerman his Veep, or sime similar occasion. This slug’s behavior is an admission to the premeditation of the ambush/ murder of trayvon Martin. There will no doubt be certain gop candidates who will make no comment on the topic. There will obviously be many more, warped people who will enthusiastically take part in the auction. Zimmerman will obviously get a few more 15 minute opportunities ( silly me, I thought he’d be in prison, serving hard time for some violent crime by now). But will those who hold office and have the power to at least endeavor to do the right thing, do the right thing? Anyone not outraged either carries a diagnosis in the DSM or just hasn’t been listening. My thoughts are with trayvon’s mother and father. I can’t imagine…
Perhaps your friend, senator Johnson can be asked to comment on this situation, the next time you have him on your show. Maybe you could also ask senator Baldwin her thoughts on the matter. I’m off to contact Mark Pocan’s office now. I thank you for your time and consideration.
